Role: Senior Product Design Specialist - leading the design, user-testing, and production of science and engineering crates for 5-8 year olds and 9-14 year olds
Challenge: To elevate KiwiCo’s STEAM subscription line by creating more interactive, long-lasting, and rebuildable toys with an improved design language.
Impact: Shaped the KiwiCo Labs line with innovative, kid-tested products, enhancing engagement and education. Managed cross-functional collaboration, manufacturing timelines, and user research

What is it: A build-your-own bow, designed to help kids explore archery concepts such as aim, precision, and trajectory

Motorized Spin Art
Age: 5-8
What is it: A fun way to learn about centrifugal force through experimenting with paint! Motorized Spin Art gives kids a space to be messy, and get some exposure to working with electronics
Feature Callouts:

An upside-down battery and motor mount, keeping all electronics hidden underneath the platform and safe from paint

4 click-in plastic sliders to keep custom sized paper sheets secure on the spin plate - reversible to fit square and round paper

Light-Up Infinity Mirror
Age: 9-14
What is it: A motorized, gear-driven infinity mirror! Kids assemble a series of mirrors and experiment with a variety of layered special effects, resulting in mesmerizing visuals that seem to stretch out forever.
Feature Callouts:

The mirror folds all the way back, so that kids can spend time carefully placing features in the center to create the perfect visual

The front mirror swivels upwards, to reveal the hidden mirror inside
Maze Arcade
Age: 9-14
What is it: A fully customizable marble maze, that enables kids to design their own maze and challenge a friend to see how many points they can score.
Feature Callouts:

For extreme-mode, the maze comes with 'black-out' tiles that make it impossible to see portions of the maze while you are playing

To keep electronics organized, this one includes a custom wire management clip to keep things tucked away
